Renaissance Lighting is a global leader in the development of next-generation solid-state architectural downlights and controls, the result of on-going breakthroughs in the application of LED technology and Constructive Occlusion?, a patented technology for the unique mixing and blending of multiple LED light sources. The company’s innovation and unrelenting commitment to green technology are key forces driving the development of highly creative lighting products that deliver the solid-state industry’s purest light source with exceptional appearance, superior efficiency and glare-free illumination for all architectural applications. Headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, USA, Renaissance Lighting deploys a revolutionary approach to product engineering and design that is supported by 30 patents including its optical and feedback control technologies.
From a driving current of just 250mA the new TL12W02-N neutral white LED and TL12W02-L warm white LEDs offer high typical luminous flux ratings of 90 lumens and 60 lumens respectively. Both devices will operate over a wide temperature range of -40oC to 100 oC, making them ideal for harsh industrial environments and outdoor lighting designs. The TL12W02-N and TL12W02-L are supplied in miniature surface mount packages measuring just 10.5mm x 5mm x 2.1mm. Designed to ensure low thermal resistance, the package technology provides improved heat dissipation characteristics and helps simplify thermal management in lighting designs based on the new LEDs.
The aim of the “LED – Emotionalize your light” competition is to develop viable lighting solutions that users can afford and are easy to operate and install. A total of 530 ideas from 86 countries have been entered in the competition at www.yahamlighting.com. Using application scenarios, graphic designs and technical specifications the participants presented their creations to around 800 community members and the professional jury of senior OSRAM staff and selected media and design experts.
