the acquisition of this IP will help us to extend our offering
According to Frazer Anderson, Business Development Director at Oxford Instruments-TDI, “This Agreement allows for an expansion of the existing processes and materials structures we can offer, especially to our R&D customers, in the field of light emitting structures. Using TDI's led high bay light technology, Oxford Instruments can produce templates for applications such as HBLEDs, Laser Diodes, High Electron Mobility Transistors, and the acquisition of this IP will help us to extend our offering.”
Fox Group’s President, Barney O’Meara also responded that they looked forward to Fox Group’s IP helping TDI become a major contributor to evolving greentech-cleantech solutions in solid state lighting and efficient power conditioning.
It’s believed that this acquisition will facilitate further the development of Oxford Instruments’ world recognised scientific led high bay expertise, coupled with its commitment to innovation and creating world class products.

who drove the development of the new pixel device
Tait Technologies said the cabling infrastructure for the system was some 370km, and was installed by a local crew of ten within five weeks. The total system installation took just ten weeks with five technicians and six local crew members. Because of the nature of its use over the eight led high bay light week period of the Olympics, the system was installed as a permanent installation. However, the company said rapid deployment options are available for shorter, temporary installations.
“The assembly of dispersed LED pixels to form very large video images has been with us for some time,” explained Frederic Opsomer, CEO of Tait Technologies, who drove the development of the new pixel device. “But never before has it been done on such a scale, and with such organic animation.”
A team of 50 designers from Crystal London delivered the project content in just 14 weeks. The first tests were performed in the Olympic Stadium on 10th July and a final test run was done at the dress rehearsals last week. Over 70 minutes of animations were all custom-designed for the concave, bowl shape of the 360? screen, and the company claims that requests for additional content were landing in the creative team’s inboxes up to the last minute.
With the significant LED display project being done in the New International Exhibition Center of Century City, Chengdu, Unilumin Tech has shocked the whole industry. This project includes three parts, one of which (named “Top Project”) will be the largest indoor LED displays around the world. It is said that this screen will be located in The Ocean Park of New Century City. With 136 meters’ width and 30 meters’ height, it really matches the name “Largest”.
According to the actual environment and specific requirements, engineers in Unilumin have made the best proposal for this project, that is, to adopt high-end indoor P25 LED displays, which have big pixels, high refresh rate and high grey level. Fluent images and good visual effect will make tourists immersive in the scene and feel as if they were there. In the meantime, it is designed without fan, thus ensuring tourists a comfortable and peaceful environment.Regarding the structures, framework applied in outdoor LED displays will be used to guarantee safety. Considering that humidity level close to the water is high, aluminum cabinets which are antiseptic would surely be taken advantage of, therefore, it is difficult to get rusty.
The average power consumption of traditional LED displays is less than or equal to 640w/h, while that of P25 can be 350W/h and even lower, saving a lot cost for the Ocean Park. Although having low energy consumption, Its luminance can still be as high as 6000cd/㎡, which can be regarded as the champion in energy-saving.As a new milestone in the progress of Unilumin Tech, it proves that Unilumin has been striving for the leading enterprise in LED industry.
According to Scott Reese, Arrow Signs led high bay Specialist, the project required a great deal of collaboration and review with the customer and the San Jose sign review board. The sign code for San Jose is very particular on LED signage, and the project had to be specifically approved before construction.

would be used for live broadcast during the games
Universiade is another large-scale comprehensive World Games in Russia after afterwards Moscow Olympic in 1980. It is a good chance to prove the capacity of Russia on holding large sale sports events. Meanwhile it can do provide valuable experience for 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games and 2018 led high bay. This event is of great importance to Tatarstan event to Russia. So it has been paid much attention by the central government of Russia. And there has been set strict demand on suppliers for this event.
After comprehensive comparison among the global well-know LED display manufacturers, Unilumin was designated as the LED display supplier for this event. This LED display was installed on the wall of the main stadium of this event. The total screen area is about 3700 sq.m which would be used for live broadcast during the games, which provides better visual effects.
Kingbright, a leading LED manufacturer for over 30 years, pioneer in SMD LED display technology and offers the most complete lines of LED and related products. With continuous innovation in research and development, Kingbright developed the industry first 0.56 inch character height SMD led high bay light with thickness of only 0.094 inch (2.4mm). This ultra-thin 7-Segment SMD display package overcomes the physical constraints and offers both crisp display features and high maneuverability.

energy efficient white light for the rapidly growing interior and exterior lighting markets
Bridgelux is a leading developer and manufacturer of technologies and solutions transforming the $40 billion global lighting industry into a $100 billion market opportunity. Based in Livermore, California, Bridgelux is a pioneer in solid state lighting (SSL), expanding the market for led high bay emitting diode (LED) technologies by driving down the cost of LED lighting systems.
Bridgelux’s patented light source technology replaces traditional technologies (such as incandescent, halogen, fluorescent and high intensity discharge lighting) with integrated, solid state lighting solutions that enable lamp and luminaire manufacturers to provide high performance and energy efficient white light for the rapidly growing interior and exterior lighting markets, including street lights, commercial lighting and consumer applications. Bridgelux is the only vertically integrated LED manufacturer and developer of solid state light sources that designs its solutions specifically for the lighting industry. COB LEDs are especially suited for directional applications that require a powerful single light source for effective illumination such as GU, MR and PAR retrofits, downlights and candelabras.
The JU series now consists of four JU1215 (15x12x1.6mm) and one JU2024 (20x24x1.6mm) type/s with powers ranging from 4 watts to 15 watts. All types provide an efficacy of 110lm/W or more at 3000K CCT, a CRI of >80Ra and 25°C substrate temperature, and are available in versions ranging from ANSI bin 2,700 K to 6,500 K. The led high bay light also offers 3 step (McAdam) options for advanced utilization.
JU COB LEDs are multi-chip solutions that are directly applied to the board without housing, for efficient thermal dissipation. Their ceramic substrate base allows for thermal resistances of below 2°C/W, with the largest wattage COB measuring around 0.8C°/W. Low thermal resistance and superior heat dissipation ensure high reliability and increase the LEDs’ service life.

we hope we can use this occasion to recruit everyone here to our plan
After presentation, Mr. James Liang, the CEO of ALT elaborated his idea about "African Green Silicon Valley" plan: "the goal is to build up Africa to become a source of Green revolution. So far, the plan has received led linear high bay light attentions from Swaziland, Gambia, and Ghana. These countries have already sent business delegation to ALT for further development. However, we hope we can use this occasion to recruit everyone here to our plan and develop African Silicon Valley together. In the future, we can make your people to live in a save-energy and environmental-friendly life."
After Mr. Liang's speech, delegation members were impressed and promised to bring this vision and plan back to their countries. They will persuade their governments to switch to ALTLED? products first, and nurture the "African Green Silicon Valley" seed to grow up and spread out to the whole world.
Mr. Loburg graduated in Business Economics with main focus on industrial business management and has twenty years of experience as channel and distribution manager from various leading positions at, led high bay light among others, Kemet Electronics and most recently Laird Technologies where he contributed significantly to the building groundwork in Europe.
